Read this slowly. Take pauses. Let it unfold like a conversation with your soul.
Start here:
Where are you right now?
Not just your body—but your mind.
Your heart.
Close your eyes for just ten seconds.
Breathe in through your nose. Let it be slow.
Breathe out, longer than you think you need to.
Now open your eyes and answer this—either out loud or in your journal:
-> “What part of me is asking to be seen today? ” <-
It might be the tired part.
The hopeful part.
The part you’ve hidden.
The part you miss,
Let her speak. Just for a moment.
Step 1: The Emotional Inventory
Without judgment, choose one word for how you actually feel today:
- Peaceful
- Restless
- Overwhelmed
- Invisible
- Healing
- Blank
- Growing
- Other: _______________
Now ask yourself:
“What would it look like to honor this feeling instead of fighting it? “
Write one sentence. Trust what comes.
Step 2: The Mirror Exercise
If you can, walk to a mirror. Look at yourself—not to criticize. Just to witness.
Say aloud (or write if that’s easier)”
“I see you. You are not too much. You are not not enough. You are exactly where you’re supposed to be.”
Notice how that feels in your body. Tight? Soft? Awkward? Real?
There’s no wrong answer.
Take a deep breath again. That’ what it feels like to come back to yourself.
Step 3: A Small, Soft Promise
Now ask:
“What is one tiny promise I can keep to myself today?”
Make it gentle. Something that says I love you to your future self.
Write it below:
Today, I promise myself:
End with This Thought
There is no finish line for healing.
There is no perfect version of you waiting at the end of the road.
There is only this moment. And the next.
And you, walking yourself home—one step at a time.
You are not broken. You are unfolding.
