Creating Space to Breathe Again

We tend to hold our breath when life gets heavy.

In between work, caregiving, and the constant mental checklist of “what’s next,” we forget to exhale. And over time, that tension lives in our bodies, our moods, and our sleep.

Today is about creating space.

Not just on your calendar—but in your mind, in your body, in your environment.

Here Are 3 Ways to Create Space Today:

1. Clear One Small Corner

Pick a space that’s been collecting clutter—your nightstand, your purse, that one chair that holds laundry.

Take 10 minutes to clear it.

Not because it “should” be clean—but because you deserve visual peace.

2. Breathe Intentionally

Try this:

• Inhale for 4 counts

• Hold for 4

• Exhale for 6

• Repeat for 3 rounds

Feel what softens. Let the breath remind you: you are safe to slow down.

3. Say No Gently

If there’s something you’ve been feeling pressured to say yes to—pause.

Is it a true yes? Or a guilt yes?

Creating space often starts with a loving “no.”

A Tool to Support You

In my Reflection & Reset Bundle, there’s a simple practice called the 5-Minute Reset—a calming ritual that helps you pause and check in with yourself when life feels too loud.

It’s printable, soft, and made just for these overwhelmed moments.

Today, your reminder is this:

You don’t need to do more.

You need room to breathe again.

Create that space, gently. And come back to yourself.
